2018 ITC Children’s PowWow and Fun Fest

Everyone is welcome to attend our FREE annual community event. We will kick off the activities at 11am with our Fun Fest with inflatable’s, bouncy house, slip-n-slide, trampoline, kiddie swing, face painting, balloon artist and cultural and educational craft stations. Also at 11am we will start our Arena Entertainment with a hoop dance, eagle dance, then powwow exhibition dancing. At 2pm we will start our Gourd Dancing, followed by supper break at 5, then start back at 6pm with more gourd dancing. At 7pm we will have our Grand Entry, which will kick off our powwow dancing for the night. To finish off the night, we will start stomp dancing right after the intertribal dancing is over, around 11pm. Children’s Powwow & Fun Fest will be held at the Ottawa Tribal Powwow grounds, 3.6 miles east of Miami, Ok. Children’s Fun Fest is from 11 am to 5pm.

It’s free, fun and educational. Come out and enjoy the day with your kids and family. Activities include Euchee Butterfly Farm, carnival rides, Kiddie train, dance exhibitions, Eagle & Hoop Dancing, Inflatable entertainment, Gourd Dancing, educational and cultural dance activities, arts & crafts vendors, food vendors, as well as various Tribal & Community agencies that will showcase and promote their organizations and services they offer to children and families throughout our community.
