Mysterious Four States is a series of events exploring the noir side of history and legends in the Four State area (Missouri, Oklahoma, Kansas and Arkansas). The next event will take place Saturday, Oct. 6, from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Coleman Theatre. Come tour the beautiful Coleman Theater, hear about the mysterious side of the Four State area from the Spook Light to hauntings to infamous murders, including the Bloody Benders, Stafflebacks and Billy Cook. And, you get to watch the classic 1953 noir suspense film “The Hitch-Hiker,” based on Billy Cook’s story — or at least as much of the story as they dared to tell. Admission is $10 per person.
